It has been my experience that the 3 numbers electro penciled on the magazine usually match the last 3 numbers in the guns serial number. Do either of your magazines number match to your gun? I'd love to own one but I don't like that current mags won't work in Pre B pistols. I purchased extra magazines but when I received the pistol I found it would accept the 75 B magazines as well. It did not have magazine retention so the magazines would drop free. It is probably an early transitional model. When the large batch of Pre-Bs arrived there was a lot of information available about filing the frame to accept the 75 B magazines. Be careful with some of those Pre B's. The Pre Manual slide stop isn't available anymore. The ones sold now fit the newer pistols but not the Pre B new hammers are narrow. Safety - be careful not to lose the small parts. Most of the rest are the same as the B models or are still available like a Pre B sear is still sold - some people install them when removing the firing pin block on their B models in an effort to further improve the trigger pull. I had to make myself lay it down and walk away. I wanted it, just couldn't justify another pistol I don't have the time to shoot got plenty of those now. The only Pre B I have was pretty rough when I got it. Israeli used well used when I got it. Still had desert dust under the grip panels and grip screw heads. Replaced a badly pitted barrel and chamber as well as the springs, some of the pins and the sights front sight was pretty roughed up and had it refinished. Did the internal frame filing to allow the use of modern magazines and some pre stuff. Always like the two tone look.
